SCORE Nepal

This study was carried out by SeeD in partnership with Pro Public, Nepal, with the aim of supporting the government and other stakeholders in the design and implementation of the National Planning Commission of Nepal's program to strengthen "Infrastructures for Peace".

The main objectives of the study were to gain a greater understanding of the drivers of peace and violence in Nepal by exploring the existing relations between peace needs and peace services for Nepalese people. In particular, the research focused on whether the peace needs (or demand) are met by service providers (the offer), and what the impacts are in terms of violence and peace.

The study was based on the findings of a survey conducted between March and April 2015 among 1,177 respondents in 40 villages and towns, located across the Terau-Pahad belt.
